I went to the original strip mall location of Cafe Annie's in 2002 and again shortly before the move. I had a job then that was 80% travel and have for a longtime spoken of this restauarnt as on my list to go back to as tops from my years of traveling the US. What happened to the steak cooked in coffee grounds and the chicken that was rubbed with cocoa powder? The menu for both new Annie offerings seems so ordinary compared to the old place.
